up late and off to find the crossbill gin distillery. turns out it's not actually open to the public, so we went to the potting shed cake shop instead to eat cake and watch the birds at the feeders outside the window. there were about 5 very annoying ladies doing a running commentary on the birds, so we had to leave before I murdered one of them. we went for a freezing walk around loch an eilean (there's no wind colder that one coming off a loch) trying to avoid tourists and other folk in general.

then we headed homewards over the lecht...which was beautiful. and pretty scary in ella in high winds! I felt bad taking her over there at one point, not do much on the ascent of the hills because she did well there, but on the descent her brakes were burning and the roof was lifting in the wind. not for the faint hearted that's for sure. we stopped at the cairngorm ski centre and had a look at the big turbine...weird seeing the place with no snow, but it was so freezing, that it's definitely on its way.

home to get the kids and out to the pipe band agm to watch daisy get her best learner of 2015 award - so pleased for her and she's chuffed to bits.
