Lonely on holiday

Disaster struck last night as dear daughter came down with a horrid lurgy and was very very sick through the night.  Needless to say she didn't feel like going exploring today, but was ok for me to leave her for a while to take the air.  I walked along Brighton promenade to the pier, but wanted to leave the exploring of that to some time when she was well enough to come along too.  This holiday was her choice, made because we have to have separate holidays from my husband and son due to different college/school holiday dates.  Feeling a bit dismal having driven almost 500 miles just for my companion to be ill.
