I'll be gone when the mornin' comes!

Yes, it's a bat.

A baby bat to be precise. Not out of hell, but out of it's nest.

Two of them were found in Langdale out of the nest and passed on to a member of a bat conservation trust. They were brought into work to be passed on to another member of the bat trust who is the partner of one of our members of staff.

With me so far?

Anyway I managed to grab this rather poor shot of one of them. It is about 25mm long. I think it may be a Pipistrelle, but I'm not sure and the chap didn't say when he left them.

I don't think it'll be latching on to anyone's neck for a wee while!
;~))

The light was poor and I didn't want to use a flash so it was a hand-held shot at ISO 800 1/20th f3.5 So appologies again for the quality.
