Leaves on the ground

Our Silver Birch is a delight, but at the moment it is the leaves falling onto the ground that caught my eye.  This really is a remarkable autumn for colour.  We were driving to a restaurant last night and the colours of the trees even stood out in the headlights on main beam.

Enjoy it while it lasts.  There is a distinct chill in the air and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a frost tonight.
