Footprints

We make our mark on the world around us. Some of these marks are more transitory in nature than others.

The lad who's buying my house came round to measure up for curtains today and I could see him mentally stripping the textured wallpaper off the lounge* and the bold Laura Ashley paper from the back bedroom. It made me wonder how quickly the changes I've made to the house will be replaced by the changes he makes.

*Good luck with that. I didn't put it on but I know from trying to remove it from the landing, that it'll not come off without a fight.
