All Equal Before the Torch

Everyone who's seen the torch has posted a picture of the torch going past. I was far more interested in the crowd opposite!
This is the crowd fairly on - the patient waiters. It was heaving later. We couldn't have escaped from our spot if we'd wanted.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The crowd cheered the police helicopter. They cheered the extra police clambering over the fence. They cheered the photographers. And the motorcycle cops.
I wouldn't have gone in my youngest hadn't have asked. Glad I did, despite the 2 and a half hour wait!
