Meet Mimsy

Sunday morning, Sugar couldn't wait to get outside and check on the two hens we have acquired.  They are young, and just starting to lay eggs.  We had intended on getting some chick this past Spring when our guinea fowl all got eaten by a nesting bald eagle pair.  We just never got around to it.  So when a friend offered us a few of hers....we went for it.  Sugar is very excited to add these two to our zoo.  She has named them Helen and Mimsy. 

In the afternoon, Sugar and I headed into town to a movie fundraiser for her school.  We had a fun time, and ate too much popcorn.  

We picked up some layer pellets for the hens and headed home for dinner.  Darn it...the weekend is over.
