Limited Time
We've passed this house nearly every day for the past 20 years or so that we've lived here in Vancouver. (What? Has it been that long...Not quite, but close enough.) Anyway.....I stopped today and talked to the people who live here because this house is up for sale, and I imagine it will be torn down. The owners told me this house was built 114 years ago...which would make this a new structure in 1901! At that time, this area was very rural. Slowly the town surrounded this home. This house has been in the same family all this time. The lady I talked to said that the second story was added later. The front porch entry also is a newer addition, from the looks of it. It's a strange place, and I see that the owners have let the kids paint the fence with colorful images. It appears to be held together with moss and mildew. I can't even imagine what it looks like inside. I doubt that anyone who buys this property will want to restore this building, and I'm not sure it could be restored. The lady had a young girl on her lap, and I wouldn't want my toddler living in this death trap. So, it will be interesting to see what happens here. There are a couple of other views in Extra.
Auntie and I got our hair cut today. We ran two errands also. My cousins are visiting from Eureka, CA and we just got a phone call that they are at my aunt's place now. I guess they are coming over tomorrow! ha
So...hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
