Nature Challenge: Day 6

Look up, look up! I didn't know what this was..the tree was covered in huge clumps of it. Had to look on Google. It's called 'Witches'Broom'...and is caused by disease....associated with dusty mildew, rust or mistletoe....the branches distort into clumps with the twigs growing out like a whirlpool. Apparently it doesn't harm the trees. Interesting.. Spotted at the Farm Shop car park today.
