Graduation

Two graduation ceremonies today. I took this picture of graduates and their families preparing for the morning ceremony. It's always a lovely day - organised with precision but somehow feeling quite informal. There were four great honorary graduates today as well as the hundreds of students who successfully completed first or higher degrees usually whilst working, looking after a family and undertaking lots of other commitments. I take my hat off to our graduates - they work so hard for their well deserved success. There was, as always, a lot of riotous celebration as well as a good few tears. A wonderful occasion and well worth a Saturday at work.
