Raindrop lily buds
We finally had some rain yesterday. These day lily flower buds captured rain drops and apparently provided shelter for little aphids, which are just visible. I'm surprised to see them in flower in October.
Day lilies are very prevalent in my corner of Kansas. I have a good number, which were in my garden before I arrived here. I love that the buds are edible (and yummy). They're especially good tempura style :)
