Green Bee-eater(Merops Orientalis)
At last a beautiful Green Bee-Eater in stunning colours, the ones that visit my satellite wire are looking very shabby and not at all colourful, so they must be getting their winter feathers. I'm afraid I did capture this Bee-eater consuming a bee, but in this shot I think he's got a hornet. I was going to say I hadn't actually seen them eating Bees- beetles, crickets and butterflies but not Bees, until today, which is rather unfortunate. Bees are bright bluey metallic black here by the way and huge!
