Oktoberfest

Clearly this photo is terrible so probably deserves some explanation.

We were at Oktoberfest - not in Germany but a version of it, in Glasgow.

It was my birthday gift to my brother in law and we had some tickets to share with friends too.

It was a good night: why it took so long for someone to realise that Glaswegians would love food, beer and singing in a big tent, we'll never know.

It had everything: polka, singalongs, lederhosen and massive stein glasses of beer.

Which probably explains the fuzziness of this shot, along with the poor lighting conditions.

Anyway, our particular friends, who we call the elves, weren't able to join us this time due to a hospital trip.

As you can see though, they were not far from our thoughts. Our own elfin tribute.
