Pontypridd Lido

During our walk yesterday, Mrs BB Merrell walking boots that I bought her for Christmas last year, developed a fault with the eyelet coming out. Early this afternoon we took the back to Outdoors and they exchanged them for the latest model which had the front eyelets removed. Obviously a manufacturing fault.

On 29th August 2015, I did an aerial of Pontypridd Lido that had just opened (link) and I persuaded Mrs BB to give up her normal club swimming venue and come with me to try inside. Entry is free until the end of the year. Mrs BB swam her two miles and I did a few lengths and took some photos. The water was lovely and warm as they use a specialist chemical that retains the heat in the water. The whole place has been renovated to the highest standard and was a delight. Communal changing rooms or your own changing room around the pool. Plenty of security lockers around the pool with a strap you can put the key on your wrist or leg.

The main blip photo shows Mrs BB in her own swimming lane with a view of part of the pool area and the overlooking mountain. The extra shows how it looked before renovation and one is a view from the museum above the cafe downstairs, which opens out on to the pool as well.

The photography policy at the pool is that it's allowed but restricted to taking photo's of family members. Common sense rules.
