October....really???

A lovely walk today with my good friends G & M along the canal and the River Great Ouse.  We saw lots of different birds including a Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail and an Egret (which I haven't often seen in Milton Keynes).  

We stopped in Stony Stratford for a lovely lunch and I spotted the flower in the main picture outside the Library.  Who'd have thunk it's October?!?!?  More usual sights were the stunning autumn coloured leaves and the windfall apples in the extras.
