Discovery

No, I didn't just discover the Atlantic Ocean, but I did just discover that I probably have 500 emergency blips at my fingertips if I photograph something from my bookshelf when I run short of blips.  Not as exciting as Oprah's Book Club, but as my mother used to say, any port in a storm  (I just realized how fitting that saying is when talking about an ocean.)  

I really do hope to do better in the future but today was Day 17 of our current trial which has taken a lot of time and energy and left me blipless many nights because I don't get home from work until late and am just too tired to go on a blip hunt.  With any luck, we'll have a verdict soon and normal life may return, sort of.  Another trial will follow of course, but most likely much shorter and less intense.

I really did have a purpose in blipping "Atlantic".  It's soon to be joined by its logical mate, " Pacific", due in my local favorite bookstore on October 27th.  The author, Simon Winchester, will be in town on November 5th for an appearance and book signing and I think I'll attend because I am a fan.  "Atlantic" is a very good book and I have high hopes for "Pacific".  I'm sure Oprah would have said the same thing.
