Turkey Vulture

I took a hike at Sugarloaf Mountain today, about a half hour drive from home.  The mountain is only 1500 ft high, so it hardly qualifies, but it was high enough to get a good view of this bird, with the foliage in the background.  I thought it was a hawk until I saw the red head and white beak on the computer.  Because of the beautiful wings it is much prettier in flight than on the ground.
