Pompei

We took an early train to Pompei and were there a little bit before the tour buses arrived. Lots of renovations going on, so a large number of places were closed for viewing, but we saw some interesting frescoes. There was an exhibition of photos taken during the excavations and casts of the people who died during the eruption. We only saw a fraction of the city, but it was very impressive.
