Skanderberg - national hero

Long drive northeastwards ending in Kruja, one of my favourite towns. Visited the citadel from where Albania's greatest hero led the resistance against the Ottoman domination. He succeeded in ousting the Turks in 1443 and Alabania was free for the next 30 years. This place said to be a place of pilgrimage and inspiration for Albanians. Very impressive and I loved the murals.
