In the time spent searching in vain for some balsamic vinegar or Piedmont white truffle oil or even a finely chopped parsley garnish Sandra's mechanically recovered meat patty on a bun had gone cold.

Still, there was a can of Sainsbury's Chablis (of indeterminate vintage) warming on the back seat of the car.
