Miller
This is Miller. He presumably belongs to one of the residents of the west end of Glasgow, but over the last decade or more he's also become something of an unofficial mascot of the University of Glasgow, where he can regularly be found wandering.
He's sometimes known as 'The Adam Smith Building Cat' after his habit of sneaking in to the building to warm himself under the radiators during the winter months, which has done much to endear him to students. He even has his own Facebook page where Miller-spotters can share details of sightings.
I've worked at the University for just over a year, but lunchtime today was the first time I've had the pleasure of meeting him in the flesh (fur?). Sitting just round the corner from the University Library, he stoically endured me taking a few pictures. He still did his best to turn away from the lens at every opportunity. It's understandable: no doubt he has hapless humans with cameras bothering him all the time. It's tough being a living legend, I guess.
When I returned fifteen minutes later on the way back to the office he was still there, sitting with an air of regal indifference while a couple of passers-by fawned over him.
