Look at those antlers!

Spotted this 'chap' on a wall when walking up to Gjrokastra castle. What a magnificent specimen, I had to choose him for Blip! I could have posted the castle, or Corfu which was clearly visible only 10 kms across the water. Or the fascinating Butrinti, one of the great archaeological sites of the Balkans. Earliest settlement Neolithic then occupied by Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Normans and by the Ottoman period abandoned. Saranda where we went on to stay was also photogenic. But no, it had to be the beetle!
