Frustration

I decided to tackle the family tree today for the first time, so joined the Ancestry website. It was glitching on my iPad, so I transferred to the computer. It's rather addictive, but I found that the knowledge of my Dad together with some notes I took from my grandmother many years ago didn't get me very far. Neither Dad nor I are any good at remembering details of family - good job I had at least written a few things down. Have given up for now, as I can't seem to get further back than my great grandparents' generation.
