Today's the day ........................ to miss the train

Look what was waiting for me when we arrived home today from our London trip.

It's a picture of the steam engine Galatea that hurtled northwards through Oxenholme Station last Saturday, literally seconds before we arrived on the platform to catch our Virgin Pendolino southwards.  All that was left when we got there was a tantalising whiff of smoke - and lots of smiling steam train anoraks with expensive camera equipment.

Fortunately, I got chatting to one of them, a very nice man called Archie, who promised that he would email me one of his pictures.  And this is it ...........................
