Bolam Lake and Shaftoe Crags

It's Wednesday, so the Haltwhistle Walkers set out for yet another walk. This one was near Bolam Lake. It was 9 easy miles, with hardly an ascent or descent other than a short "up" to Shaftoe Crags.

That's when I realised I had no card in the camera. I had 2 spare batteries with me......... Thank goodness for the iPhone.

17 of us went on the walk, including our friend, BJ, from the USA. She walks with us several times a year and calls us the "Whistle Walkers".

Tonight it's Henry V at the cinema. Can we cope with all this culture??

PS Shaftoe is the same as Bobby Shaftoe, but we did not sing (or whistle) about him today!
