And we have a winner

Although our plant may have come first in the competition I feel that everyone who took part in the chilli growing competition was a winner. Many of those who took part had never grown anything prior to these chili plants and are now aware of how easy and satisfying it is to grow your own.


A special mention must, however, go to Wendy, Wilfred, William, Wilma, Winifred, Wolfric and all my worms who provided the excellent compost which was used when the plant was transplanted into a larger pot. I am certain that vermicompost was a major part of maintaining the health of our chili plant and helping it to achieve first prize.
