Kentish Plover(Charadrius alexandrinus)

Such a lovely little bird and as she posed for me so beautifully I couldn't resist, so not a new bird but an old favourite. The male Kentish Plover has darker sides to his chest and a black bar on the front of his head. Apparently this small Plover is distinguishable from adult Ringed Plovers by its incomplete breast band and dark legs, which as you can see this little bird has.
