Rivulet of Quicksilver

On my Sunday bike ride, I head out along the coast to Aberlady, before heading inland through the small village of Bolton, up to Humbie. From here I head home through Soutra Aisle. A remote place. Just passed Gilston, the sun make a dramtic breakthrough. Brothershiels Burn shines like a rivulet of quicksilver. The burn heads south from here to join up with Gala Water at Fountainhall.

From here, I head up to Heriot, the Granites, Gladhouse Reservoir, before diving down to Auchendinny, and up the steep Brae. A lovely 155km bike ride.

I have a nice tasty lunch of cheese on toast and a energy giving banana. Afternoon spent in Morningside ambling in the charity shops that are open, before late afternoon coffee and cake.
