M1 River Nene Viaduct

Early evening traffic crosses the M1 River Nene in Northamptonshire. During this lengthy 15 minute exposure the clear sky was full of stars, aircraft even satellites. As the traffic sped above me, light escaping from headlights flooded the fields with momentary bursts of poetic beautiful light. Despite the proximity to the motorway, it was quite a peaceful place with twilight, moonlight, headlights and a full night sky of moving light above me.

We also visited the Grand Union Canal bridge which carries the M1 above the canal.
