On the subject of flowers..

I thought I'd show you my funny little urban garden. I'm well aware that a lot of you have truly beautiful serious-type gardens with incredible views. Mine is just a play-garden with no view - though fortuitously a rather nice flint wall to block off the traffic.

I love it to bits and as it's just about at its best right now I thought I'd take the opportunity to blip it. Some plants, like the campanula and lavender you see in the foreground I allow to self seed in the cracks between the (rather rubbishy, let's be honest) paving.

Other plants live permanently in pots. The grass beyond, which you can hardly see, permanently needs mowing. The pigeons permanently poo in the birdbath. But I've done a huge amount of work on it in the last couple of years and the number and variety of plants flowering at the moment make me really happy.
