Lawyer's Wig or Shaggy Ink Cap

I came across this magnificent pair of ink cap fungi while walking in Bicton Park this afternoon.  I had gone to capture some of the autumnal colours in the vast array of trees there and while there were some interesting trees around I couldn't resist these fungi.  They are known as Coprinus comatus the Lawyer's Wig or Shaggy Cap.

Another warm, calm autumn day with the sun shining throughout.  Lovely.
