Fragrant Cloud

My sister gave us a garden voucher for our recent ruby wedding. This week we spent it on an appropriately red rose - Fragrant Cloud, which I planted this afternoon in the matching tub to that which contains our other rose, a sweet scented yellow called Charlotte. It's blooming for the second time this year.

Moving clockwise round my collage, I finished today's gardening by pulling dead leaves from the palm tree. If I wait for the wind and rain to bring them down they blow everywhere. No such weather today, just warm sun and still air, dry washing on the line, and a lovely half moon peeping through the palm leaves. Loving it!
