Was treated to afternoon tea by a school chum today (a chum I taught with) and it was so lovely to have a catch-up! Listening to tales of what's happening this term makes me so glad that I'm retired!

I started the grand edit of my study at home today, beginning with sorting out the girls' files from medical school as well as my school stuff. Great to have an empty shelf in the bookcase! The recycling bin is a lot heavier, mind you.

I started the job in the study because when I mentioned it to No1 peanut at the weekend, she said "you've been threatening to do that for 15 years".

Embarrassment drove me to start today!
