Wiseman's Ferry

on the Old North Road, makes a lovely place to aim for on a day out. This is a view of the river from the ridge, down which the Road plunges  to the still operating ferry. The road dates from the early days of settlement and was built with convict labour.  What energy and persistence they must all have had.  It was a trying 35 c and everything has a baked look!
