Traditions

Relaxed start again this morning then over to Stan's cafe for some delicious donuts. Loved the place....as the sign says it's been family owned since 1959 and they've obviously seen no need to change a thing....including the great signage around the place, the bar stools, or the donut recipes.
Full of carbs and fat we headed to Santana Row for a very nice couple of hours wandering round the shops there and I managed to get some more of the lovely Anthropologie plates that I couldn't find in Edinburgh, H found a gorgeous baby outfit by her favourite designer and M got some camera accessories so we were all happy! Also bought a rather lovely stuffed toy of a dandy looking fox that we're sure the baby will like.
Quick change at home then up to San Francisco to meet some alumni at a St Andrew's Society meeting (see extra). My goodness, quite a spectacle to see so many kilts and hear a piper in downtown SF!
Afterwards went out with M's friend S who's based at UCSF now....had a delicious meal at an Afghan restaurant (a first for us all!), the home. Quite a day!
