London Lights

The bright lights of the Adelphi Theatre twinkled down on me as I walked along The Strand this evening on my way to a work event to celebrate National Events Month.

The evening reception was hosted at The Mermaid on Blackfriars in a room with panoramic views of the Thames (see extra pic).

Representatives from the business events industry including MPs, event associations, trade media and venues attended as part of a project called Britain for Events.

The lights of London provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of networking and great conversation on the theme of business events - a booming industry that has brought almost £43bn to the UK and so it would seem not a bad choice of industry for me to join five months ago!
