I'm Ready for My Close Up

Temperatures were near freezing and there was a pretty good breeze blowing when I headed down to the beach around 6:45 a.m. The sunrise was a bit of a disappointment but there were plenty of hungry seagulls around to keep me entertained.  To get this shot, I held the camera in one hand and a piece of bread in the other.  The gulls were not shy and as they swooped down, I took their pictures.  A couple of seagulls got too close and actually hit me in the head and camera with their wings. 

Fortunately the birds did not "deposit" anything on me during this photo shoot (better than last Sunday!) and left with a bunch of rather unusual shots.
