Another day, another beach
We drove to St Mawes today and took a walk up to the castle. We then had the idea to take the ferry over to Falmouth but we missed it so decided instead to take the ferry over to Place on the Roseland peninsula and walk up to Portscatho along the coastal path. The problem with today's walk was that we had started out late and the pressure was on because we needed to take the ferry back to St Mawes and although on demand by a phone call the last crossing was at 5.15. The walk one way took 1.5 hours and looking at our map, the return should have been shorter. At 4.45, a chance chat with a lady resulted in her asking her husband to take us back to catch the ferry. I don't know what we would have done otherwise, our lucky day.
