Esztergom Entertainer
Weather not so good today, with overcast skies and eventual rain, but we managed to walk to the highlight of this ancient Hungarian town, the 19th century Renaissance Basilica, the largest church in the country.
It's so huge that it's almost impossible to fit it in to one picture, so I decided to blip the delightful Pied Piper outside playing a selection of international melodies to please everyone:-)
We visited the Treasury within the Basilica and were in awe of the stunning craftsmanship of so many of the artefacts - gold, silver, enamel, embroidery etc. we even climbed the 120 steps to the top of the tower and the views over the city were lovely and would have been even better if it hadn't been raining!
After a delicious buffet lunch, always a feature of any cruise, we are now sailing on towards Bratislava. Must get up and go for another walk, as there is still coffee and cake to come this afternoon, followed by a Welcome Cocktail and Dinner this evening with the Captain:-). Groan!!!
