Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows
Before returning home to the Isle of Wight I spent a day in the beautiful City of Salisbury. The Cathedral was very crowded with tourists so when the sun finally came out I went for a walk along the footpath alongside the water meadows which afford wonderful views of the spectacular spire.
This is a scene painted many times by John Constable and has changed very little over the centuries.
