No ceramic animal left behind
The Move, Day 2. After a slow start the crew hit their stride and by the end of a long day 90%+ of the house contents were in trucks and away.
It;s strange to see the rooms empty, with all the pictures gone from the walls. Among the last few stragglers are these characters. Snuffles is an XL-sized piggy bank I bought in a charity shop many years ago. He is now hugely heavy, and although I have no idea how much change he's swallowed, Victoria could probably tell me - every so often she tends to empty him out and fastidiously count it up.
And in the background, the Great Dane gang - the noble Hero, and the terrible twins, Yook and Ooba. (A few dog owners might just recognise the origin of those two names :)
Our movers are wrestling with logistics - this is the furthest they've had to travel for a move, and one of their main trucks is unexpectedly out of action so there's a lot of improvisation going on and planning is in flux. We and our final goods might be on our way tomorrow (one day sooner than planned), but we'll see...
