Folk Music Festival

When we were at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center this past Thursday evening, the announcement was made that Folk Festival would be Sunday afternoon. Everyone was invited to come back to this free event. So we accepted the invitation. After church this morning we came home to check-in on the three pooches, change clothes, and then we were off and gone to the festival.

The weather was perfect. The music was tremendous. An international taco festival was happening out on the lawn, so we got our taco lunch and walked over to sit down in the music area to enjoy our meal while listening to the tunes.

No less than five groups played throughout the afternoon. The one pictured here has a banjo, a mandolin, a fiddle, a guitar, and a bass. Their music was delightful. This was definitely an afternoon we'd repeat. We love music and it is especially wonderful in an outdoor venue.
