Light at the end of the tunnel!

This path is one I walk infrequently, unlike the one on my Blip for October 1st. As can be seen, leaf strewn but also unfortunately litter strewn too. What possesses people to throw their empty drink bottle, beer can, cigarette packet, food carton, dog-poo bag etc so arbitrarily? Some people have no respect for that which is around them, I wonder what they do at home with their litter? This is a nationwide problem I fear (at least in the UK).
