Central Technical School's Centennial

This is Central Technical School in Toronto. It was, for many decades, known as the premier technical trade high school in Canada and one of the best of its kind in the world. This acclaim is shared with its Fine Arts programs of which Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris was a graduate. My wife and sister-in-law were both CTS art alumni, I was in the Electronics and English programs. Several cousins also attended before and after my time there.

Lots of memories came back as we wandered the halls and classrooms. Some good, some not so much. Such was high school.

The school has been used for number of feature films, TV shows, and commercials. Good Will Hunting was partly shot here (see Extra photos for a shot of the hallway where Matt Damon mopped the floors and did math). Resident Evil: Apocalypse with Milla Jovovich, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D with Sean Bean, and Class of 1984 with Michael J. Fox and Roddy McDowall were all shot here.
