Ludwig's Castles

Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof Castles though we only went inside Neuschwanstein and Linderhof.  I'd forgotten how grim mass tourism is but even so the castles were amazing.  Beautiful, over-the-top and finally very sad because they were conceived with such intensity and lived in for such a short time.  I would have liked to see Herrenchiemsee and Lake Starnberg but that will have to wait for another trip.
