Dawn at Meadowlark

The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens usually open at 10 a.m. but for one morning only, today, they opened at 6:30.  Not willing to miss this opportunity, I hauled myself out of bed at 5:30 and headed over there.  At least 30 other photographers had the same idea.  It was quite cold and misty and although the mist looked magical, it didn’t really lend itself very well to the brilliant autumn sunrise images of the foliage that I had envisioned.  It was hard to avoid having other photographers in the images too. I thought about photoshopping this fellow out, but decided that leaving  him in really represented the day….plus I was too tired from my early morning rise. ;-)
