Chiseldon Cauldron.

After a long morning in Cirencester looking at sixth form provision for O, I stopped off at the museum in the village to see this year's collection. For a relatively small village, we are very lucky to have our own museum ( open each Saturday from April to October). As it will close for the winter in a couple of weeks, I thought I would pop in.

Two "major" exhibitions have been put on- one showing the village shop through the years....( I did say that it is a small village and the new village shop is a major landmark!!), the other the discovery of Iron Age cauldrons and the making of a replica to go into the museum.

The original ones are now being conserved in the British Museum.
