Grassington

After doing a few necessary chores this morning we decided to take ourselves off to Grassington for a walk with Reggie, and then treat ourselves  to a meal out. we had a great walk, the sun was glorious and the trees were looking at the most colourful. They were burning off the heather on parts of the moor, so at times Grassington was shrouded in a smoky haze, but the scenery was at its breath taking best. Couldn't decide between the pretty autumn classical dales scene , or the drama of the sun and the clouds, so you've got them both.

Most of the coffee shops/tea rooms and pubs take dogs, so we had a few to choose from, but we chose well and had a  very good steak pie and mushy peas ( good northern food) to replace all the calories we burnt! Reggie got a few treats too from the waitress and a lovely elderly lady who had previously had Airedales, shared quite a bit of her scone with Reggie  too, so we all had a lovely afternoon out!
