Kaka Beak
I think the bright red flowers on the native Kaka Beak plant, are one of the most spectacular native flowers. Often gardeners find that their bushes don't last for many years, but this one has been in for almost 15 years and continues to flower...mind you its shape is a bit odd, after pruning off any dead branches, and giving it a good haircut every season after it finished flowering.
Feel as though I have achieved plenty today, finished the processing of baby Charlie's photos then managed to get some summer sewing done. All good.
