Rome

The Colosseum was mind blowing, imagining all those lives lost for entertainments sake. The line was super long, so we paid for a tour which got us on without waiting in line. We wimped out after the Coloseum tour, it was way too hot to go through the Forum etc. we adjourned to a gelateria instead!

Later in the evening we walked around Piazza del Popolo and went up a hill to see Rome from up high. Very pretty! Saw this lion on the way up and loved how the light caught it.

Wandered the streets of Rome aimlessly
